Portfolio of Architectural Windows & Doors

The complete refurbishment of this historic New York Brownstone included replacing the front elevation windows and doors. Quantum supplied a package of custom Legacy Series Windows and Hinged Doors in sapele, with sapele door sills. All product received a split finish consisting of Benjamin Moore Moorgard Low Lustre (N10380 Black) on the exterior and raw wood on the interior. Custom profiles incorporated interior ovolo sticking and exterior beveled glazing stops.

Our double hung Legacy Series Windows were built with concealed balances, no mullions, muntins or stools, and sills with ¼” legs beyond side jambs. The sashes were equipped with Bronze Craft latch and pull hardware in a white bronze finish resembling satin nickel. The window units have exterior removable screens with dark aluminum mesh and bronze colored aluminum frames. The sash stiles and head jambs received tan weather stripping, meeting rails received black weather stripping and bottom rails received bronze weather stripping.

Finally, several sets of Quantum Hinged Doors are found throughout the project with Classic Series sidelites. Quantum provided custom brickmould for both the windows and doors, and all glazing was specified dual glazed insulated glass with black Edgetech SuperSpacers and fully tempered glass lites.
